Donald got his Private Pilots License in 1950, and he's flown more than 1,000 hours in 29 different types of aircraft over these last 60 years. Having flown more than a few Cessnas in his life, Donald has wrestled too many times with the Cessna "tomato can " vent tube.

One winter, Donald and his wife were flying across northern Oklahoma. He hit some turbulence and his Cessna vent tube gave way. "My wife took a very dim view of the arctic air blasting her side of the cabin," he remembers.

Back at home, Donald started thinking of a better way to cap that vent. First, he tried a screw-on cap, but there was no way to secure the cap in place. After some experimentation Donald found the solution: a tube within a tube, using technology that was developed in the oil fields during the 1920s. This was the birth of the Ventube™.

Over the next three years Donald developed his product into a popular and dependable vent solution for Cessna owners all over the world… more than 5,000 so far.

Donald realized that while the Ventubes increased the air entry into the cabin, the air has difficulty in exiting the cabin. This lead to the developement of the Airflow Enhancement Kit to improve the cabin airflow.
